Mirjam's life seems perfect – she's a disco dance champion and the darling of the evangelical church led by her stepfather. When she collapses during a performance, the only acceptable explanation is that her faith is not strong enough. She therefore decides to look for a more radical solution. This captivating film proves how easy it is to lose oneself, and represents the first film role for the star of the Norwegian Skam series, Josefine Frida.
She debuted with The Tree Feller, which was also presented at Febiofest. Her second feature Disco premiered at Toronto IFF and was also presented at San Sebastian. Both films focus on fragile heroes who suddenly find themselves on a downward spiral and are unable to break free.
