Punk rock band frontman and troublemaker Simon finds himself on the run after a series of acts on the edge of the law. Dinner in America is only the fourth film directed by the experienced camera technician, and the first film of his that has received major audience attention. After the film premièred in competition at Sundance, more opportunities opened up for Rehmeier. The Nebraska native is now preparing a true-crime miniseries with the working title Heartland and an action western Save a Bullet for Me.
