MFF Praha - Febiofest
This year’s Prague International Film Festival – Febiofest is taking place in spring once again, after being pushed back to autumn because of the pandemic in the last two years.
“Like last year, the Slovanský dům palace in the heart of Prague will be the centre of Febiofest events, but certain programme sections and masterclasses will be hosted at Kino Pilotů, Ponrepo and Edison Filmhub as well. After the Prague part of the programme, the Febiofest Regions Tour will continue in several cities around the Czech Republic,” says Marta Švecová Lamperová, the Artistic Director of Prague IFF – Febiofest.
The 29th Prague IFF – Febiofest is now open to submissions to the main competition sections though an on-line form on the festival website.
Amateur filmmakers can submit their works to the You Are the Filmmaker competition. This year’s theme is Friendship, reflecting the difficult covid times, which have made it very difficult to spend time with others. There are two categories: individuals (including group projects) and school teams (primary and secondary schools). The theme should be approached in the form of a short documentary, journalistic story or survey. The winner will be chosen by an expert jury.
