FEATURE FILM LIFE WAS INSPIRED BY THE DIRECTOR’S PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

Lithuanian director Dovilé Šarutyté brought her Feature Film About Life to this year’s Febiofest, inspired by her own emotional experiences. The starting moment is the sudden death of the main character’s father, and even though it starts with death, the story is, paradoxically, more about those who continue to live – as the title itself suggests. Dovilé Šarutyté has earned several domestic awards for her short films. With her Feature Film About Life she competed for the best debut at the Tallinn Black Nights festival.
