THE INDUSTRY PROGRAMME ON 21 SEPTEMBER AT ART-N-COFFEE CAFE OFFERED THREE SEMINARS ON IMPORTANT FILM INDUSTRY TOPICS

The first of the three was titled Local Funding Opportunities for Czech Films. The panel, moderated by Jan Syruček, consisted of Executive Director of the Prague Film Fund Tereza Moravcová, Martina Kuncová from the Central Bohemia Film Office, Barbora Hyšková from the Ústí Region Film Office, and Pavlína Žipková from the Czech Film Commission.

In the afternoon, the Audio-visual Producers’ Association (APA) and the Department of Scriptwriting and Dramaturgy at the Prague Academy of Performing Arts took over with a presentation of six students and recent graduates from the Academy’s Film and TV School. The session titled “Need a Scriptwriter? Meet the fresh talent” was moderated by Julie Žáčková.

The third topic, presented by Vlaďka Chytilová, was the new EU Creative Europe – MEDIA funding programme, which supports filmmaking and the audio-visual industry.

This year’s Prague IFF – Febiofest Industry Days also offers a series of four webinars titled Bitcoin for Filmmakers with renowned experts Alena Vránová and Max Hillebrand – every day from 20-23 September, 11:00 to 13:30 on Zoom (in English, free registration).
