Submit your film by 21 February 2020
This year the festival is announcing two categories in its You’re the filmmaker short amateur film competition. As in previous year, it is open to individuals (and groups) and school teams (from elementary and secondary schools) can also enter.
The theme of the seventh edition of the competition is ECOLOGY. The theme is highly topical and it is particularly important that children and teenagers grasp its true meaning.
One or more entrant can compete in the Individuals category, though only one member of a group can submit a film.
Groups of a minimum of two members from elementary or secondary schools, under the guidance of a teacher, may enter the School Team category.
The winner of the INDIVIDUALS category will receive:
1st place: 20,000 CZK
2nd place: 10,000 CZK
3rd place: 5,000 CZK
The winner of the SCHOOL TEAM category will receive:
1st place: A financial donation of 30,000 CZK for the school you attend. The donation is intended for educational activities in the field of internet and media literacy.
2nd place: A financial donation of 20,000 CZK for the school you attend. The donation is intended for educational activities in the field of internet and media literacy.
3rd place: A financial donation of 10,000 CZK for the school you attend. The donation is intended for educational activities in the field of internet and media literacy.
The competition is open to all citizens of the Czech Republic and foreigners with permanent residence.
All you need to do is shoot a short film or video of 1 to 5 minutes in duration in the wmv, mpeg, mov, avi or mp4 formats at a resolution of HD 1080p.
An expert jury will then select the finalists, whose films will be included in the official programme of the Prague IFF – Febiofest. For more information see the competition conditions.
