After 11 years of work, the director presented his feature debut for the first time at this year’s Berlinale in the new Encounters competition. After losing his nearest and dearest, the film’s protagonist shuts himself into a land of memories, where they are all still alive. As the years go by the dream city constantly grows and uninvited literary figures and comics heroes also move there.
“I would like to thank one person in particular for the fact that we can show this film – producer Ewa Puszczynska. Maybe her name doesn’t say anything to you. But when I mention two films that she has produced, Ida and Cold War, you’ll understand why I appreciate her so much,” Nikolaj Nikitin, programme director of the Prague IFF – Febiofest told viewers.
