Director
Valeria Sarmiento (Chile) is a leading Chilean editor, screenwriter and director who cooperated on the most important works of her husband, the Chilean famous director Raul Ruiz (The Lost Domain, Klimt, Mysteries of Lisbon, Night Across the Street). Since the 1970s she has lived and worked in France, where she has dedicated herself to independent film making. Sarmiento’s films (Notre mariage, Elle, Amelia Lopez O’Neill) have won prizes at international festivals.
She will introduce her new historical film The Black Book on 26 – 28 March. (Panorama)
