The well-known actor, entertainer, presenter, and dubber graduated from the leatherworking trade school in Zlín, but he did not want to make a living in the shoe industry, so in 1969 he began studying acting at JAMU in Brno. He made his film debut in the crime comedy A Girl Fit to Be Killed (1975). His domain became comedy roles – he appeared in many popular and still-repeated films and series.
