Two sisters inherit their mother’s job as a housemaid in the neighbouring palatial mansions of two aristocratic families. When the two families meet one day to celebrate, a long-hidden secret rises to the surface, blowing apart the serene, idyllic lives of the upper crust. Director Javier Fuentes-León plays out a truly Buñuelan plot on aristocratic soil, spicing it up with shocking twists and turns and topical queer themes. This suggestive account of the class divide entertains with its situational humour.
