The “Queen of the Corner”, as she calls herself, meets her prince who saves her life one night. It could have been the beginning of a fairy tale if we were not in the Chile of the 1980s under the Pinochet regime, which did not promise happy endings to its opponents. But love can survive in the squalor of the suburbs and illegal gay bars - as long as it is not betrayed... Leading Chilean actor Alfredo Castro (The Club, Neruda) excels as the star of a tenderly melancholic adaptation of a novel by Pedro Lemebel.

Rodrigo Sepúlveda

The Chilean television and film director, screenwriter, cinematographer and producer studied in Chile and the United States and has made both feature and documentary films. His second feature film, Padre Nuestro, was Chile's 2008 Oscar entry. Premiered at the Venice IFF last year, Sepúlveda's fourth feature film My Tender Matador won the Audience Award in Thessaloniki.
