By the Time It Gets Dark

Drama
The sensitive portrait of a beautiful country haunted by its dreadful past is composed of several individual stories. The plot revolves around a director who wants to make a film about the Thammasat University massacre in Bangkok in 1976, and a former student movement leader who survived the atrocious event. The film powerfully depicts the beauty of a single moment, also focusing on the issues of memory and the possibility to understand one's own past.
