When Alice learns that her husband has spent all their money on luxury prostitutes and disappeared without a trace, she decides for a radical step. To be able to pay the accumulating bills, she becomes a paid companion herself. After a while, she realizes that this job not only brings good money, but also makes her feel stronger. This comedy drama shows the world of sexual services without unnecessary sentiment and moralizing, yet it doesn't ignore its darker side either.

The Australian director started her career in theatre, finding her way to film only later. Her shorts A Sign, Prayer, L´enfant Perdu and Diva were selected for over 90 festivals worldwide. Her feature debut Alice earned her awards for the best feature and for the best female debut at the SXSW festival.
