Last week of the Regional Echos of Festival is held in  Olomouc, Uherské Hradiště, Chomutov and Zlín

In each region the festival offers a different programme shaped by cooperation between the programme department and local cinema operators. 

Olomouc will start with Vice and the documentary by Peter Jackson

In Olomouc and Uherské Hradiště the spectators have and exclusive opportunity to see the documentary They Shall Not Grow Old, by Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson. A unique documentary based on WWI footage has been adapted using modern technology into a breathtaking mosaic.  

In Chomutov the programme offers also the films for children and teenage audiance

The festival’s most popular films for children and young peopleand is Mia and the White Lion, which is set in South Africa and is about the unbreakable bond between a young girl and a rare white lion and for teenagers Eight grade

Uherské Hradiště will screen in cinema Hvězda Free Solo

Also very popular is Free Solo, the Oscar-winning documentary by US filmmakers Jimmy Chin and Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi. The film is about the incredible sportsman Alex Honnold, who became the first person to scale the 900-metre El Capitan in the Yosemite Valley alone and without a rope. Febiofest has built on last year’s cooperation with the company Channels, which represents National Geographic CR, and is presenting the documentary free of charge.

Zlín propose Gloria Bell and the closing ceremony of the Festival 

In Zlín on the April 17 at 5 pm at University of Tomáš Baťa director Jakub Felcman will introduce his new documentary Jaroslav Kučera – A Portrait about one of the greatest ever Czech cinematographers and a close collaborator of director Věra Chytilová. The closing ceremony will take place on 18 April at the Golden Apple Cinema in Zlín with the final screening of Stan & Ollie, a biopic about comedy duo Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy directed by Jon S. Baird.

The closing ceremony will take place on 18 April at the Golden Apple Cinema in Zlín.
