Three inseparable friends grow up in a small town in the middle of the mountains of Kosovo. They are currently waiting anxiously to see if they will get into university and thus will be able to leave behind their hometown and the problems they have to face there. But when one of the girls meets a boy called Zem, things begin turning out quite differently than anyone would have expected. A gritty and tender tale of young people’s problems and their journey of self-discovery told from a women's perspective.

Luàna Bajrami

The French actress with Kosovan roots first came to prominence by appearing in television series and films, and then made a significant impact with her role of a maid in the romance Portrait of a Girl on Fire (2019), for which she was nominated for the César Award. She also played a minor role in her directorial debut The Hill Where Lionesses Roar, screened at this year’s Cannes IFF.
