Dovile's father has died suddenly. How complicated can it be to organise a funeral when unexpected problems are lurking everywhere from the morgue to the florist? The demanding days that await all offspring are characterised by a sense of hurried confusion. Absurdly comic situations alternate with childhood memories, while genuine nostalgia seeps from footage captured on VHS cassettes. Though it begins with death, this story is, paradoxically, and as the title suggests, more about those who live on.

A directing graduate from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, her credits include several domestic awards for the short films As tave zinau (2009), Not Lucky Today (2010) and 8 Minutes (2016). Feature Film About Life, inspired by her own emotional experiences, contended for best debut at the Black Nights festival in Tallinn.
