Jean takes a job as an assistant to a famous photographer who lives in a decrepit villa in a Parisian suburb with his daughter. Stéphan works on a series of photographs using one of the earliest techniques – daguerrotype. But it soon turns out that things are different than they seem. A Japanese master of horror and the director of Tokyo Sonata, Kyioshi Kurosawa made the mysterious drama as his first film in France.
