Movie synopsis: Tomas is a young writer returning home through a snow-covered landscape. A moment of inattention results in a fateful car crash which triggers the disintegration of his life. His former creative and relationship crises deepen and Tomas succumbs to depression. With utmost precision, the film tells a tale of guilt and forgiveness which comes not only thanks to the time elapsed, but especially through his own emotional realization. Wim Wenders, a respected director of international fame, returns to live-action cinema after years spent making several award-winning documentaries. And he proves once again that film is a medium narrated primarily through imagery.
