Movie synopsis: 18-year old Jesus works at a run down Havana drag-club as a hairdresser, but dreams of being a star on stage, performing. When a chance to try his luck appears, suddenly his estranged father, an ex-boxer whom he barely remembers, returns from prison and moves in with him. Jesus struggles to cope with his father’s overbearing presence and his issues with alcohol and self-control. Yet little by little and despite their differences, the abusive father and his sensitive gay son find themselves on an extraordinary, powerful journey towards mutual understanding and acceptance. Héctor Medina truly shines as Jesus in this moving story of a young man’s commitment to finding his own voice.
