Movie synopsis: The passionate, sensual love affair of married Igor and Pina, a single mother, gradually yet inevitably affects the lives of not only the secret lovers, but also their family members – Igor's wife and Pina's son, who needs a lion costume for a school performance. The subtle, contemplative intimate drama with excellent acting performances emphasises the contrast of the protagonists' everyday routine, full of petty problems and frustrations with finances and relationships, and the erotic fascination which threatens to irrevocably destroy it. With empathy and brutal honesty, the film examines the desire for love and its consequences in Mexican winter while impatiently awaiting spring.
