Movie synopsis: “Pikadero” is a slang term for a public place where young couples without a car or their own flat go for sex. In a small Basque town, it is also the only place for the film's protagonists, Gorka and Ane, to succumb to their passion. Yet even that won't be easy. He, in his late twenties and living with his parents, is grateful for an unpaid internship, and she is considering leaving for abroad. Young love, in the time of economic crisis, unfolds against the backdrop of a vexing situation which is mirrored by sexual frustration. In elaborate central compositions and using playful audio-visual sarcasm, the film maps the region of today's Basque Country from the point of view of a debuting Scottish director.
