Movie synopsis: Ayiva and Abas left Burkina Faso for Europe. The film depicts their dramatic journey across the Libyan desert and the Mediterranean Sea, as well as the twists upon reaching their final destination, presenting a refugee experience in all its complexity. The stunningly composed and exquisitely played stories of two men are simultaneously similar and different in the crash with reality of the desired Europe. The reality of a flight which turns into a fight for one's life, the pain of connections to the homeland and the close ones who stayed, illegal trafficking and the Kafkaesque routine of migrant communities on the other side of the sea become intensely personal in Ayiva's story.
