Movie synopsis: Offering an original artistic concept, the film presents 11 minutes in the lives of different people from Warsaw in parallel plot lines. Before the last second of those eleven minutes passes, an unexpected chain of events fatefully intertwines their lives. A young actress with chances for an international career and her jealous husband. A hot-dog seller with unclear past. A group of nuns. An ER doctor. We know more about some while others remain partly obscured. They pass each other around a square in Warsaw, inevitably heading toward an approaching catastrophe. The editing and score of this existential picture correspond with the city's beat. The film represented Poland at this year's Academy Awards.
