Movie synopsis: One failed mission, a few horrifying moments in the Heights, and detective John Ferguson is discharged. Yet what he goes through as a private eye investigating the mysterious Madelaine causes him even stronger vertigo than standing on the rickety ladder. Alfred Hitchcock not only used a brand new camera effect, which made the viewers dizzy, but, above all, he made his most personal film. Nowadays a classical psychological thriller about love and obsession, it is one of his top films and it has recently replaced Citizen Kane as the best films of all times in a poll by a prestigious British film magazine, Sight and Sound. The master of suspense and what is probably his most unsettling film.
