Movie synopsis: “Mrs Brown” was the unflattering nickname of Queen Victoria, coined by tabloids and gossiping subjects as a result of her relationship with John Brown, her late husband's former servant, who eventually became the Queen's advisor and officially also the head of her security. The film follows the fascinating history of the decades-long friendship between the widowed Queen, who never stopped wearing black after her husband's death, and the unusual Scotsman, who was her most loyal protector. The film was originally intended only for television, but after screening in cinemas, it was received with extraordinary excitement, both from critics and viewers, and was awarded numerous prizes.
