Movie synopsis: Gillian falls in love with publisher Shepherd Henderson and literally bewitches him. What are the consequences? Shepherd leaves his fiancée and goes crazy about Gillian. Yet he soon finds out that their love might be not so romantic. The second collaboration of James Stewart and Kim Novak after Vertigo is focused on love and passion once again, but it's definitely no thriller. This seductive and playful romantic comedy about modern witches relies on an exquisite cast (with the excellent Jack Lemmon as Gillian's brother), and also the unique work with colours and design. As a result, the charms and spells become real film magic, truly hypnotic in certain scenes.
