Appetite for Film / Films for Your Appetite

For the first time, the International Film Festival Prague – Febiofest will organize in cooperation with the prestigious Berlin International Film Festival, film screenings accompanied by exclusive dinners named after the Berlinale’s special programme, Culinary Cinema. The three exceptional meetings with film creators and chefs led by Zdenek Pohlreich will take place from March 24th to March 26th at 19:00. On the occasion of the screening of Final Recipe, a film by Korean Gina Kim, the menu will present Asian cuisine, an Italian menu will accompany Luca Guadangino's I Am Love, and finally, a menu inspired by the best Michelin restaurants will be served with a documentary called Foodies by a Swedish directing trio, Thomas Jackson, Charlotte Landelius and Henrik Stockare.

The International Film Festival Prague – Febiofest in cooperation with Berlinale presents a unique culinary and film experience, Culinary Cinema. Menu Febiofest Italy 2015 is prepared on the spot by chef Zdenek Pohlreich and his team together with the chef of Divinis restaurant, Jan Kratochvil. In the pleasant atmosphere of a “film restaurant” created in the Barrandov studios, the viewers can taste a top-quality menu inspired by film I Am Love. The story of the film, described as an “erotic-gastronomic delicacy”, with famous British actress Tilda Swinton starring as a Russian immigrant, will take us to Milan where the main protagonist marries and eventually starts a passionate relationship with a talented young chef from Liguria. Alba Rohrwacher, a new star of Italian cinema, appears in the film as well, and will be the guest of this evening.

The ticket includes admission fee to the film restaurant at Barrandov, film screening, several-courses menu, drinks, and meeting with the chefs and guests from the cinema world.

The restaurant opens at 18:30, the screening starts at 19:00. The menu is served after the screening. The restaurant closes at 23:30. The program is subject to change.

Menu Febiofest Asia 2015 is prepared on the spot by chef Zdenek Pohlreich and his team together with the chef of Yamato restaurant, Marek Hora. In the pleasant atmosphere of a “film restaurant” created in the Barrandov studios, the viewers can taste a top-quality menu inspired by film Final Recipe. Asian cuisine in all its sophistication and variety will be presented to the audience by the film with charismatic Michelle Yeoh in one of the leading roles. Gina Kim, a Korean director, will take the viewer to Shanghai of today, where an international competition of chefs is taking place. The film was created in Korean-Singaporean-Thai co-production.

Menu Febiofest Asia 2015 is prepared on the spot by chef Zdenek Pohlreich and his team together with the chef of Café Imperial restaurant, Michal Psenicka. In the pleasant atmosphere of a “film restaurant” created in the Barrandov studios, the viewers can taste a top-quality menu inspired by film Foodies, a documentary which is the utmost delicacy. The Swedish directing trio made a portrait of several fanatic food enthusiasts who dedicate their lives to a peculiar hobby: they travel around the world and visit the best three-Michelin-starred restaurants where they enjoy the tasting menus. One of the directors, Charlotte Landelius, will participate in the evening.

If you want to buy tickets online, go to “My Program”, click on the name of the first film, chose the screening, and click BUY TICKET. You’ll be transferred to the CineStar website, where you can chose your seats. Then click to “Chose another ticket” and you will go back to “My Program” and can repeat the process. When you select your last seat on the CineStar webpage, go to “Continue” and you can buy all tickets at once.
