Febiofest Junior will not only entertain children!

Mornings at Febiofest feature 6 animated films, for the youngest audience and their parents. And for a special treat, we will feature the Oscar winning, Frozen!

Please note: The films will be presented in Czech, and will not be "English Friendly".

First on the list is undoubtedly Frozen. This film, made by directors Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, won two Oscars this year, including Best Animated Feature! The film tells the story of Anna, a fearless optimist, who sets off on an epic journey - teaming up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven - to find her sister Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Encountering Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf, Anna and Kristoff battle the elements in a race to save the kingdom. Frozen won a second Oscar for the Best Original Song for “Let It Go”, performed in the film by Idina Menzel.

Planes” directed by Klay Hall, visually builds on such earlier Pixar films as “Cars” and “Cars 2”. “Turbo”, directed by David Soren, is the story of a really fast snail. And don’t miss “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2”, directed by Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn, which is sure to mean more trouble with some strange food-animal hybrids!

In the Spanish animated film, Justin and the Knights of Valor, from Manuel Sicilia, we meet Justin, who lives in a kingdom where bureaucrats rule and knights have been ousted. His dream is to be become one of the Knights of Valour, like his grandfather was, but his father Reginald, the chief counsel to the queen, wants his son to follow in his footsteps and become a lawyer.

In this section, we'll also present the Czech film Hussites, which was shot by Pavel Koutský. In a witty way, the film rewrites the history of the Czech Hussite movement, surmising what might happen if, instead of Jan Hus and Jan Zizka, history was set in motion by two complete goofballs. Enjoy the voices of George Labus, Oldrich Kaiser and others.
