11 things that you should know before heading to Febiofest

11 things that you should know before heading to Prague Febiofest. Read carefully so you don't get caught offguard! Have fun!

1.      The official Program is online now! Click here to see it.

  • The printed (book) version, including the annotated catalogue and screening schedule, is now on sale (20kc) at the Cinestar Andel Info Booth!
  • A free schedule brochure is available at the info table and box office.

2.      All foreign language films have Czech subtitles. Most films are "English Friendly" (either in English or with English subtitles). Films that are NOT ENGLISH FRIENDLY are marked with a (°) in the program. Be sure to take a look here to see the list of English Unfriendly films.

3.      Prices and online sales

We want Febiofest to be accessible to everyone, so the ticket prices for 2D films will be 89kc. 3D films will cost 99kc.

As you may already know, this year's Febiofest supports Cystic Fibrosis. Therefore, we have created a special program section called "Charity Partnership Screenings". Tickets to these special screenings will cost 129kc. These specially priced tickets will support children with Cystic Fibrosis. These children are so badly disabled they will need assistance throughout their lives, a need which profoundly affects their families. We ask for your support in this worthy cause!

4.     You cannot make reservations for Febiofest films. Tickets can only be purchased at the box office or online.

5.     Cinestar Box Office hours

Daily, during Febiofest:     8:30am to 11pm

6.      Tickets may be returned up to 30 minutes before the start of the screening.

  • If you are unable to use a ticket, you may return it to the box office at anytime, up to 30 minutes prior to the starting time of the film!
  • Tickets are completely transferrable! Feel free to give them away..

Is a show that you want to see sold out? Be sure to check the Last Minute box office. All returned tickets are sold at the "last minute" counter, beginning ten minutes before the show starts. The "last minute" counter is at the far right end of the refreshment counter.

7.      Program changes will be announced here on the website and posted in the theater lobby.

8.      Please be on time! If you arrive after the projection has started, you will be admitted to the Hall, but your seat will no longer be reserved. Latecomers should take any free seat.

9.      Want to know where to meet the filmmakers and actors? Check the GUESTS section and the various sections to see when and where introductions and discussions after the films will be.

10.    Enjoy the movies, but be considerate of others. Please don't disturb others by talking during the film.

11.    Don't be shy! If you have questions that are not answered here, talk to us! The Febiofest Info Booth is open in the Cinestar lobby, where we are happy to provide information.
