This dramatic thriller is based on a real incident from 2018 when a Thai boy football team got trapped in a flooded cave and a rescue team was trying to get them out. For nine tense days, nobody knew whether the boys and their coach were alive, and millions of people worldwide prayed for a miracle. The film tells the story from the points of view of the individuals who contributed to the rescue, and examines the spiritual and cultural impact of the event.
The Thai director was born in Bangkok, but grew up in a Benedictine monastery in Yorkshire, England. He then graduated from a film college in Leeds and lived in London for five years, working predominantly as a producer and director. In 2002, he returned back to Thailand and founded De Warrenne Pictures production company.
