This universal story with the parameters of a Greek tragedy covers several hours of life in one village. A woman with two children is ready to leave her alcoholic husband, who wants to prevent it. The husband, a politician and a policeman, one place and one tragic accident that will irrevocably change the lives of all involved. Polish director Bartosz Kruhlik's feature debut combines drama, thriller and a disaster film and won the Best Debut Director at Gdynia film festival.
The graduate of the National Film School in Łódź was successful already with his short films (http://, 2010; The Heat, 2013; Adaptation, 2016) which won awards at film festivals in San Sebastian, Tallinn, Karlovy Vary, Montréal and Sarajevo. Supernova is his feature debut.
