UK star Mark Gatiss to attend festival opening

The actor and comedian Mark Gatiss, who played Sherlock Holmes’ brother Mycroft in the series Sherlock, is coming to Prague for the first days of Febiofest and will present the eight-part series Queers at the festival on Friday, March 16th. UK star Gatiss has portrayed, among others, Tycho Nestoris in the series Game of Thrones and the Prince Regent in the series Taboo and also appeared in the series Agatha Christie’s Poirot, Woody Allen’s film Match Point. He is also a highly successful writer, screenwriter, director and producer.

 

Queer Now section

Mark Gatiss will present the Czech premiere of the eight-part BBC mini-series Queers as part of the festival’s popular Queer Now section. The program explores eight stories from British queer history starring leading UK actors and queer personalities such as Ben Whishaw, Russell Tovey and Alan Cumming.
