Festival Guide

The entire program is now online! Ticket sales will begin on March 11th.

This year, visitors will have the option to check the program using Febiofest’s mobile app, available for download at the Google Play Store and the iTunes App Store. Apart from program listings, it will offer information about the films, trailers, and will also enable advance notifications about the individual screenings. The Febiofest app also enables calendar sync in the mobile. The Android version will be available on March 2nd and the iPhone version on March 10th.

The printed version of the program will be available beginning March 11th at the Febiofest Information Desk at CineStar Praha – Andel and at the box office in CineStar Praha – Cerny Most.

For links to the ticket sale and for further information, you can also go to http://www.febiofest.cz/en/culinary-cinema. The ticket, including admission to the film restaurant in Barrandov, film screening, and a multi-course menu, is 1,500CZK.

The ticket sale for the individual screenings in respective cinemas begins on Wednesday, March 11th at 12 noon at CineStar – Andel.

Cinestar Praha – Andel Box Office Hours:
First day of sales, March 11: Noon – 10:00pm

Pre-sale days, March 12 – 18: 12:30pm – 10:00pm
Festival days, March 19 – 27: 8:30am – 10:30pm

This year, for the first time, there will be selected screenings at CineStar Praha – Cerny Most.

Cinestar - Cerny Most Box Office Hours:
Daily: 2:00pm – midnight

Online ticket sales at www.febiofest.cz and www.cinestar.cz will be available on Wednesday night, March 11th at 11:59pm

The ticket price is 89 CZK, while 3D screenings will cost 99 CZK. By purchasing a ticket for 129 CZK for screenings listed as “Charity partnership screening”, you will be contributing 40 CZK to The Foundation for Premature Children and Their Families.

One screening will also take place at Studio Hrdinu at Veletrzni Palac. Tickets for the screening at Studio Hrdinu will be available in advance at:

  • Studio Hrdinu: Monday to Friday 2:00pm to 6:00pm
    Beginning at 6pm (On the day of the screening only)
  • The information desk by the entrance of CineStar Prague – Andel
  • Or online at GoOut:  www.goout.cz

Be on time for the screenings! If you are late, you will be admitted after the start of the screening, but you are not entitled to a specific seat. Dogs are not allowed, with the exception of assistance dogs for handicapped visitors.

Is your film sold-out? You can always try the “last minute box office” located on the far right-hand-side at Cinestar Andel. Returned tickets and unsold tickets are put on sale there 20 minutes prior to showtime.

Tickets for the festival cannot be reserved, only purchased at the box offices or online. If you cannot come to see the film and you already have tickets, they can be returned at the box office up to 30 minutes before the start of the screening at the latest. Another option is to offer the ticket to somebody else, for example on our Facebook www.facebook.com/febiofest.

Any program changes will be listed at the cinemas and on our website.

All the films screened at the festivals are provided with Czech subtitles (or in a Czech version). Most of the films are English friendly, meaning they are either in English or with English subtitles. Films that are not English friendly are marked with an asterisk (*) in the program.

We kindly ask you for considerate behaviour towards other visitors, otherwise the organizers can ask you to leave the cinema.

You can watch live streaming of the press conferences with the festival guests every day on our website.

You can talk with the filmmakers at the Q & A sessions after selected films. You can find an updated schedule of Q & A sessions in the “Guests” section of the website.

We will be happy to answer any questions at the information desk by the entrance of CineStar Prague – Andel. If you want to receive information via email regularly and also throughout the year, please register on our homepage for Newsletter subscription. The information desk is open from March 11th to 18th between 12:00 – 22:00, and from March 19th to 27th between 10:00 – 22:00.

Merchandising (festival glasses, T-shirts, badges, etc.) including DVDs and Blu Ray discs of films screened during previous years at the festival will be available at the information desk in the foyer during the festival.

The Febiofest Music Fest is free for the general public, taking place during eight evenings from March 20th to 27th. The list of performers offers a diverse mix of young bands combined with established names in the individual genres, with each evening dedicated to a specific style. The concerts by 33 bands, musical projects, and DJs will take place in the garage (level -3) below CineStar Prague – Andel. The garage and bars are open between 6:00pm and 1:00am. Film fans, outside of Prague, will have the opportunity to see selected films during the regional Echoes of Febiofest from March 30th to April 17th in fourteen Czech cities  (Brno, České Budějovice, Děčín, Hradec Králové, Jihlava, Karlovy Vary, Karviná, Liberec, Mikulov, Mladá Boleslav, Olomouc, Pardubice, Plzeň, and Zlín).

My program - make your own list of movies to see!

Here’s how to make your own list of movies to see at Febiofest. You can even print it out to take to the box office or click to immediately buy your tickets online.

Enter your email address to log in. Decide if you wish to receive newsletters from us.

Click on a gold star, and your film will be saved to your personal program! Your list will be saved so you can see it at anytime after you log in. If you change your mind, just click the X, next to the film in your list, and it will be deleted.

If you want to buy tickets online, go to “My Program”, click on the name of the first film, chose the screening, and click BUY TICKET. You’ll be transferred to the CineStar website, where you can chose your seats. Then click to “Chose another ticket” and you will go back to “My Program” and can repeat the process. When you select your last seat on the CineStar webpage, go to “Continue” and you can buy all tickets at once.
