Movie synopsis: Amélie just celebrated her 18th birthday and decided to fulfil her dream. With a small suitcase and wearing a striped shirt and a beret, she moves to Japan, where she was born and where she feels she belongs. She starts a new life in a miniature apartment, seeking a job as a French teacher through an ad in a local grocery store. Her first student, a Francophile collector of yakuza films named Rinri, helps her discover not only Tokyo, but herself as well. Stefan Liberski's romantic film, in some aspects, bears resemblance to Amélie and Lost in Translation, yet remains original and fresh, also thanks to Pauline Etienne's performance in the leading role.
