Movie synopsis: Mona (Clara Khoury) and her family live together in a community in the area of the Israeli-Syrian border at the Golan Heights. She is preparing to marry a popular Syrian actor, but she knows him only from television. However, as soon as she marries him and moves to Syria, the law will prevent her from coming back. The tragicomic film examines in a detailed yet entertaining way local bureaucratic complications as well as the relationships within the large family. The numerous family members, spread around the world, follow different values and goals, but they inevitably intersect at a given moment. The film was nominated for seven yearly Israeli awards and won the audience award at the Locarno festival.
