Movie synopsis: The feature debut of the scriptwriter and director Vuk Rsumovic presents the closed chapter in the life of a boy who grew up with wild animals without unnecessary emotional outbursts. The boy was “saved” from Bosnian forests by hunters and sent to an orphanage in Belgrade. Once there, the boy had to overcome his animal instincts and substitute them with civilised behaviour. The moments of gradual metamorphosis are captured outstandingly by Denis Murctic in the role of the boy. Yet Rsumovic' modest psychological study is interrupted by the war in Yugoslavia. The effort to transform the savage into a civilised being fails when the “developed” society gets pulled into a barbaric fight to the death. The film received numerous awards, including FIPRESCI at IFF Venice.
