Movie synopsis: A man arrives in an unknown city where he's soon attacked, beaten up and left unconscious. Upon waking up, he realizes that he has amnesia. He gets better thanks to a pair of homeless people and starts to build a new identity within their homeless community. He also meets an elderly Salvation Army officer, Irma, starts to work in the organization's office and gets close to a local band which adopts a completely new repertoire under his guidance. Yet the past and his real identity start to gradually emerge. Aki Kaurismäki's social tragicomedy won the Palme d'Ore for the Best Film and Kati Outinen received the Best Actress Award at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival.
