Movie synopsis: “I like to win. But above all, I cannot bear losing – that equals death to me,” says Lance Armstrong, for a while the prototype of an American sports hero who overcame cancer and returned to cycling. When a documentarian and an Oscar winner, Alex Gibney, started following him with a camera, he intended to shoot a story of an unprecedented rise. However, everything changed with Armstrong's admission of doping. In the end, Armstrong's Lie uses two documentary techniques - “talking heads” that look back on the cyclist's career in the light of the doping scandal, and archive shots that portray Armstrong as a man.
