Movie synopsis: Thirty-something Irene is a successful manager aided by her powerful aunt. She decides to renovate the house where her mentally ill mother passed away. The return to the past, and especially a meeting with an impertinent twelve-year-old from the neighborhood, lead her away from the strict business world. Irene starts to succumb to her inner voice that she was suppressing for so long. And she decides to listen. The sober drama by former Turkish director, Ferzan Ozpetek, draws attention to the abysmal social differences in society, the fragility of the human psyche and a subjective perception of happiness. The emotional arc of the film is magnified by Barbora Bobulova's sure and touching performance.
