Prague´s part of FEBIOFEST 2004 visited 81.197 film fans.
It is by 10% more than in last year. Sale of the tickets in Brno has not finished yet (some of the sreenings are already sold out) but it is promising the record numbers as well, which promises the 11th Febiofest to be most succesfull in its history

Against last year statistics we had 35% more visitors and the balance between visitors and number of viewed pages is 200% against last year, which tells us that visitors stayed 2 times longer on this website than last year.

| Producer P. Branco to attend FEBIOFEST - 2004-01-21 3:48 |
 One of Europe's most established and successful independent film producers, Paulo Branco, will attend the 11th FEBIOFEST. On the occasion of the tribute to Joao Cesar Monteiro, Branco will come on friday 23rd.
Throughout his carreer, Paulo Branco have worked to support independent film production throughout Europe, and make the works of directors from Portugal to Romania to Iran known to European audiences. Branco began his career in Paris in the late 70s, first as an exhibitor and then setting up his own production company. A native of Lisbon, Portugal, the budding producer became enchanted with the Portuguese cinema, and determined to distribute, among other films, works by Portuguese directors like Oliveira, Monteiro or Antonio Pedro Vasconselos. Branco has produced each of Oliveira's films since 1981, as well as films by numerous other directors, including Wim Wenders, Raul Ruiz, Michel Piccoli and Olivier Assayas.
Paulo Branco will be available to meet with journalists during his stay in Prague. Dates and times will be announced at the festival.

| Music Fest 2004 - 2004-01-16 13:09 |
| There are lots of musical surprises and news for the year 2004! Musical program of this year is not oriented only at genre of World Music but offers other interesting projects. On better and improved stage will play giants of club scene like Hypnotix, Khoiba or Southpaw. Ethnical part will enrich Feher Fekete Kerek (a mix of cultural influences: reggae, ska, rock-steady and Balkan music), Tshikuna (sweet and sour Central African quitar music with a dance groove in the background), Bengas (the best-known Roma group in the Czech Republic), Nyabinghi Warriors (psychedelic etno-trance, music from West Africa and Jamaica), Atares (latin american music), Létající koberec (shaman rituals), Ramapiti (ancient instruments above the pounding rhytms of all kinds of drums) or Čankišou (the music of Chanki sun-people) and Al-YAMAN (folk songs from Yemeni and Arabic worlds). |
